Ms. Hakimi’s passion for the arts fused
with her years of business experience have uniquely positioned
her to offer her clients, artists and entrepreneurs alike, the
commitment to protect their creative talents and interests. She
has devoted herself to creating a progressive private practice
without the high cost of a large law firm.
While in law school, Ms. Hakimi’s interest in international
law and her curiosity about the effect of intellectual property
rights and protections within the international trade and market,
led her to the study abroad program at the Chulalungkorn University
School of Law in Bangkok. As an international and intellectual
property law student, Ms. Hakimi was the member of the first American
regional finalist for the European Law Moot Court held in Lisbon,
Portugal. After pursuing her legal education, Ms. Hakimi was invited
back and served as the regional coordinator for the first European
Law Moot Court competition in United States.
Since 2003, Ms. Hakimi has been teaching various intellectual
property courses at Golden Gate University of Law, specifically
the Trademark Moot Court Competition and Art & the Law. She
also presents workshops and lectures on copyrights, trademarks
and licensing for various art and non-profit organizations. She
has served on the board of various non-profit organizations, including
Bay Area Iranian-American Voters Association and San Francisco
World Music Festival.
Ms. Hakimi is an avid traveler, devotee of Rumi and Hafez, and
a passionate collector of world music. She is a zealous fan of
visual and performing arts and maintains a committed active involvement
in the art world, both locally and internationally.
