Ms. Hakimi’s years of business experience fused with her passion for the arts have uniquely positioned her to offer her clients, innovative entrepreneurs and artist alike, the commitment to protect their interests. She has devoted herself to creating a progressive private practice without the high cost of a large law firm.

While Ms. Hakimi has been committed to serving the interest of artists and innovative entrepreneurs since the opening of her law offices in 2002, she also served as the General Counsel for the Amidi Group of companies, an international conglomerate consisting of several domestic and international subsidiaries with operations in over ten countries from 2003 until 2010. Main business ventures included real estate management and construction, early stage technology investment, bottled water production and distribution, plastic packaging technology and distribution, and technology startup incubators in Silicon Valley. As part of the management team, Ms. Hakimi was responsible for all legal aspects of business, corporate, employment and general operation of all entities.

Since 2003, Ms. Hakimi has also served as counsel for Amidzad Partners, a Silicon Valley based seed and early-stage investment firm focused on investing in emerging growth companies with over 100 active portfolio companies. Investments include DropBox, Zoosk, Lending Club, Webs, Nor 1, Twidvid, SigmaQuest, Sendori, Powerset, Bix, and Danger. In addition, she also serves as counsel to Plug & Play Tech Center, a leading Silicon Valley startup technology incubator recognized for its unique eco-system and platform for innovative entrepreneurs.

In addition to her business experience, Ms. Hakimi has been teaching various intellectual property courses at Golden Gate University of Law, specifically the Trademark Moot Court Competition and Art & the Law. She also presents workshops and lectures on copyrights, trademarks and licensing for various art and non-profit organizations. She has served on the board of various non-profit organizations, including Bay Area Iranian-American Voters Association and San Francisco World Music Festival.

Ms. Hakimi is an avid traveler, devotee of Rumi and Hafez, and a passionate collector of world music. She is a zealous fan of visual and performing arts and maintains an active involvement in the art world, both locally and internationally.
